The Symbal Eating Monster

he is a scary monster
with sharp claws
and sharp teeth
for eating people

he lives in
a soundproof cave
and plays his drums
with femurs
from human beings
in the night time
he stalks
on unwalked paths
but never gets lost
in forests
he creeps
on the outskirts
in the shameless shadows
of subway stations
and snarls at tourists
who are looking for quarters
to jingle their pockets
for when the army arrives

but he eats metal and explosions
and everyone goes home
without explanations
or memories
to hide in their closets
so he can eat them later

he snags the ones alone
without cellphones
who are too embarrassed
to call for help
